I hope this letter finds you doing well and that you are enjoying a fantastic CNY summer! At Partners in Learning, Inc. (PIL), we are reflecting on what has been our most successful academic year to date, and we are preparing to welcome the 37th class of the MANOS Dual Language Early Childhood Education program in September.
As the new school year approaches, I am writing to request your valued support. While funding from the Syracuse City School District has remained unchanged for six years, our operational expenses—including payroll, payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, liability insurance, utilities, and program supplies—have increased by more than 40%. Your contribution would greatly assist us in covering these unreimbursed program costs.
Recently, our MANOS Dual Language Early Childhood & Intergenerational Learning Program hosted its 36th Moving-Up Celebration, where 80 families gathered to honor the achievements of 81 children enrolled in our various programs (home-based, 3-year-old Early Learning, and 4-year-old Pre-K) during the 2024–2025 academic year.
With your partnership, PIL remains committed to supporting emergent bilingual children and families across Onondaga County in enhancing literacy and language skills, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and cultivating lifelong learners, productive workers, informed consumers, responsible citizens, and supportive community members.
Your donation may also be tax deductible as PIL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Thank you in advance for your support of PIL’s mission and work!
Many thanks,

Chad W. Underwood, MPA
